My current winter bike is a fazer 600 and I'm considering selling it and buying one of these:

Has anyone tried one ?

i think a good winter bike is something light with the weight low (as on a scooter), or easily controllable because its thin (as on a dirt bike)
i think a 4t 250 is a good size
a 4t 250 dirtbike with knobblies is slightly lacking in grip, but makes up for it with how easy it is to regain control when the back lets go. I think with a more road based tyre it would be great
for me the best winter commuter is a yp250 with a high screen
https://www.yamaha-motor.it/Images/Majesty25096_tcm39-25340.jpg
good weather protection, automatic, weight low, comfy, nippy, but still useable on the motorway at speed up to about 75mph
its weakness is that servicing can be expensive, unlike 4t 250 dirtbikes, and the image thing
the bike you need depends on your commute,
im a bit disappointed that someone here has suggested getting a car instead
bikes are more fun and half journey time by filtering past traffic
as for the buggy, someone near me is selling one cheap, i'll see if i can get a pic and price. i think he is desperate for a buyer.

Trike? tremendous fun in the snow so i'm told
I'm thinking more and more on the getting a sidecar route, i'll have a car soon but couldn't really bring myself to use it all the time, want to get myself a new ural eventually but could end up geitng an old honda of some sort or soemthing with a car stuck on for the timebeing..
Depends on the roads you use and how much crap you tend to caryr about, i could certainly justify it..
This is what ye want

(apparently not long ago some bint drove into the side of this rig.. the car bounced off and ended up with a huge dent, the rig was unscathed ) ____________________ >RidingSkills<->Tech Tips<->MyBikes< |

Hmmm D'you really think so? My teenage daughters just laughed at the picture. If I was to pick one of them up on the bike without sidecar, then that would be a whole different matter! The only problem then is safety gear... |
Hey, it's a Honda afterall, don't expect it to have the cool factor and people running after it (oooh controversial), point is that hotday wanted a bike that's good for winter preferebly with more than 2 wheels, and look at the pic, it even has a "don't look at me cover" on the sidecar, so if kids are too embarrassed to be seen, it won't be a problem. ____________________ 2004 RSV Factory
