fzr 400

hi, i have just purchased an fzr400. it is a 1988 model, the genisis version. the only flaw i personally hav with the looks is the front fairing and lights.

Does anybody know if it would be possible to replace the fairing/headlights with the newer style ones or with any other from a diffrent bike.

Not unless you want to undertake considerable reworking of everything (brackets etc). Seems a shame to fanny around with a standard original bike - just enjoy it for what it is.

Wow mint condition FZR. I like original design and colouring with yamaha stripe. I agree with BLUEX5.

Dont do it.

The twin lamps look so much better than the foxeye ones a year or two later.

You can fit R6 / R1 on the FZR but will require major mods and make the rear look alwful so will also need a new rear and tank. At the end of the day, its shed loads of work.

The bike looks mint, do not do it.

Year I like the twin head lights

It funny you posted this as I'm going to view a FZR400rr tomorrow
It a 96' 3TJ 4DX(if that means anything to you) with the single head light.
Is there anything I need to pay special attention too, or just all the normal checks?
