These are wore off clutch removed from my W650 today.
I only rode 11000km(6900mile), and practised slow balance riding for 1 month, but clutch plates wore off to limit so I asked bikeshop to exchange them to new ones today. I didn't know clutch plates wear off so easily!!!! and my 1 month practise costed me 20000yen oh no...
But mine is only 48ps W650. Then, how long is the life of much more powerful bikes' clutch doing stants like wheelie, donut, burnout etc.
I wonder if they wear off in a few weeks!?!?

That clutch has been slipping, or you have lent your bike to someone who has been abusing it.

The plates have suffered overheating. I would suggest your clutch cable has been poorly adjusted, with not enough free-play, and it has been holding the clutch partly-disengaged causing it to slip under power (supposing the W650 has a cable clutch that is).

Indeed they do Thumbs Up

Kawashima, i have an Estrella 250 which is a smaller version of your bike and my clutch was lasting similar mileage.

I changed the clutch and went through the lot with a fine tooth comb trying to find the problem and it was that the cable was poorly adjusted, allowing the clutch to slip.

It wasn't so much that it was noticeable when riding but it was enough to cook the bastard!

He says that he practised slow riding for a month. If the clutch was being used to slip the engine that will have done it. They have obviously been cooked as they are very discoloured.
