maybe it's the new job which involves alot of sitting infront of computers or sound desks but i think it's the bike,
i recently had some time off and didn't use it for about 3 days, my back felt much better, Smile

now i go back on it for 90 minutes a day and it's killing me, my ybr never used to do this but i can appreceate that the hornet has i slightly less upright position than that.

Time for a back support methinks Confused

Anyone else have a cure for back troubles caused by posture on the bike?

I work in an office enviroment and get shooting pains in my back when I lie down straight in bed at night, it is so aggrevating.

Although I don't notice any back pain when I'm on the bike only my elbows where I feel like they lock up in the cold because I'm leaning on the handlebars Thumbs Down

Make sure you have a decent seat in work and don't sit up straight (I know your supposed to but it kills me personally) tilt it back slightly so that you can put your weight against the back of the chair and I find that its ok then, although probably does damage in the long run according to all these geeks Laughing

Could it be the chairs you use at the office? Perhaps there just the cheap crap ones, maybe you could buy your own to use or even get the company to buy them.

Or how long have you ridden this bike? Perhaps your still getting "worn in" to it. It toke me a long time to get rid of the pain.

yeah i've had it for about 5 months and the pains have only been noticed since a month ago,

The seat thing can't really be sorted as i am going between different rooms all the time, all i can think of is a back support but bar risers may be the answer if that doesn't work.

Feel like you have something wedged under your shoulder blades? If so it's the chair your using. My back was aching like crazy in this way recently and I swapped chairs with someone, within a week it had gone away. I think the change in weather also has a bearing on it.

I suffer from back pain. But that is down to injury. Both my parents used chiropractors and at the end of the day they did more harm than good. I would urge caution.
