Ok i read in the paper a comment from Mr tony blaire and i thought he'd finally grown some balls the article said that he was fed up of immigrant's coming over and not adopting to british ways , wich to be honest is what allot of british people are fed up with * ie * Baa Baa black sheep been baned. Stuff like that. Anyway he said he was fed up and hes not going to let anymore in unless they adopt to british ways and that if they didnt he was going to kick them out. FAIR PLAY i thought.

Turned over to the next page and theres him shaking hads with a muslim women saying that in the future this muslim women could be the next preminister, ok maybe i am been racist here but think about all the shit that would cause if that happened .

The guys of his rocker , im sure hes a pot head

its called vote whoring , most people do not watch the news closely , ie bad day to bury news when 911 was when they released stats that UK take home pay had fallen by 2.1%.

You noticed it I didn't , and I watch the net quite closely , hes utterly lost a major power base you see , Muslims are a huge part of his power base which he has alienated , but then so are ignorant chavs , he is courting with both , in effect trying to fool both groups and failing due to people noticing and pointing it out.

I was afraid a lot of people would see it like this and I suspect this is the real 'vote whoring' bit - he's exploiting that people who hear and see what they want to see.
If you look into it, you'll find that he said that they would only accept people that adopt the British way of Tolerance in society. And that those of any background that displayed hate were the unacceptable ones (unless's it's hate towards the haters, in which case that seems to be acceptable Razz).

you are aware that the sun made up that story? A few headline writers dreamed it up and most people swallowed it without question.
Ironically, one teacher who'd read the headline believed it and subsequently tried to stop children in her class from singing it.

I wouldn't believe anything you read in the Sun, it's usually crap to provoke anger amongst the ignorant.

Scary stuff.

I just cant believe your basing your argument on a tabloid, at least read a proper paper (ie times, telegraph) if you want to be enlightened about politics Rolling Eyes

Now I know why you spout so much rubbish and hate the UK so much, I wouldn't trust 95% of the internet with a 10ft bargepole. Almost as bad as Tabloids.

ALL newspapers are written with Political bias, you will see it more closer to election time. It's a sad state of affairs really as no newspaper is truly "Independent".

If you want to get an accurate picture of news in the UK, you should look into watching and reading foreign transcripts. Once you view the news from a different viewpoint without party political bias, of course the left wingers and right wingers are still about, they are reporting from an outsiders POV.

I know it sounds stupid, but in my degree course we were told to do this and it is really interesting to see what our news is like when watching it in another country.

Yea quite, although you will get bias in the article from any paper you will twisted facts in tabloid purely to make the story better, and always seem to have "get out of your country" storys in tabloids.

sounds interesting about the foreign transcript. Thumbs Up

I'm having trouble responding to this without getting all nasty and personal ,

but this is a forum where I can consider at length what to say , lest I get some siggi
treatment.

but I've been through university and to do your dissertation you need to be able to do this easily,

simple example

Specator = right wing free market

New statesman = socialists lefty

both citations = +1 point
Juxtor position = 2 points
economist 2 point
Identity the inherent bias and or weaknesses in the reasearch = lots of points.

dissertations should be based on 2000 points , you need at least 1400 to get
50%.

If you want to get an accurate picture of news in the UK, you should look into watching and reading foreign transcripts.

You also fail to consider a weakness of an outsider point of view is that they do not actually live here
and therefore there are few to contradict their reporting , and therefore its accuracy does not have
to be absolute.

I actually like to explain things with economics and mathematics , ie generally why more and more taxes
are a bad idea look up the discredited laffer curve , it has some grains of truth in it
