Well since your mate can't ride, I'd have to say you will be significantly quicker in a race. Razz

Would have to say the bandit would be the fastest of the two.

Why not find a quiet, private, long enough road and see for yourself?

Or argue over something worthwhile and interesting instead, like the effects on cabbages from global warming.

Erm, I think you'll find the more important issue is the effect on global warming from cabbages, especially when cows eat them Neutral. Rolling Eyes

It depends how poor, if any, the fences are between the cabbage and the cows.

Of course this isn't such a problem in the fence-rich nation of England, but you're going to have to take a global view here.

FYI, apparently the world population of cows may become 'worse' polluters than cars:

I think we should all join the Anti Cabbage Action Group and fight to save the world from cabbages..

It's an argument you will never win because the bike is not the only factor. My mate Olly would wipe the floor with me in a proper 1/4 mile drag race with him on his SV650 and me on my GPZ500. We could then swap bikes and he would wipe the floor with me a second time.

So, even if you had a race, the winner doesn't necessarily have the fastest bike.

You didn't say what colour they were. Sad

Everybody knows that Black is Fastest, then maybe Blue and so on.

Except, of course, for Hornet 600's, where everyone knows that Bombay Orange is the fastest colour of all. Mr. Green

The FZR400 would win by 20 seconds its the fastest bike in the world,
behind the 98'R1 and the SV650 which is good at everything Mr. Green

Ah!

But the '98 R1 is only fast if you open the throttle.

I'm sure I've read that on here somewhere. Confused

actually the thing about the 98 r1, is that its very responsive to the slightest tweak of the throttle. much more so than lesser bikes, as it has loads of torque at low revs

i guess many litre bike IL4 sports bikess are like that, but i have only ridden one.

Just remember, the slightest twist of the throttle alters your speed as required... so the legend goes Wink

Thats cause they used Chuck Norris's beard hair to make the throttle cable. Shocked
