Post up pics of your bike that are arty.

Here is a couple of my pics. I know they are not superb, lol, but I like these ones.

https://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o114/tokarev_pics/NSRCutoutbackground.jpg
This one was heavily edited in photoshop. I like the way in this one that the natural shadows of the trees behind me surround the bike (these shadows were not photoshopped to be this way), as if it is in a spotlight (I never noticed that when I took the photo!). Also how all the little details of the picture are not 'in the way', instead it is smooth and you can see the lines and shapes that make the picture.

https://i118.photobucket.com/albums/o114/tokarev_pics/1400900bww.jpg
In this one the black and white mixed with the shadows adds a bit of timelessness to the scene I feel. The bike is there by the side of the road. You are free to go wherever you like...well that's my interpretation anyway. Laughing

So, if any of you want to post up some arty farty pics of your bike then please do so.

I like you're threads, always a good amount of bike pron.

Here's what I would say my most arty pic is.

I gave it a bit of background blur and tinted it a redish colour.

It reminds me of that emo scene out of gladiator where maximus returns home and is walking through the field with his hand sweeping the cropsfor some odd reason.

It puts me in a calm relaxed mood, Machine at one with nature

^oh noes, I am writing in the style of colin1...

Cool

Ok the above is all a lie, the front end of this bike is so fugly I can't bare to show it Laughing

This my artistic impression of my bike. Done in Paint with Windows XP Service Pack 2, in classic mode. I really think it captures my imagination quite well.

Not my bike, but my mate's Superstock GSXR600.

Shame it wasn't clean, otherwise it would have been quite a cool piccy!

Wotcha.

Glad you like it.
It was taken at the top of Clee Hill, year before last. I was on my way back from the Elan Valley - hence the camping gear.
The bike's a 1974 Moto Guzzi Nuovo Falcone - a 500 horizontal single that develops a staggering 24 bhp, and top out at round 80 mph. . . . enough torque to rip trees out by the roots though Very Happy
The original piccy can be found HERE

Ah - roll on those glorious Summer weekends.

Looking at the filename, I'd say that was taken from the viewpoint overlooking Port St. Mary on the Isle of Man.

<<rambling old git mode on>>
Now I just happened to be coming down that road earlier this year - whilst at the Manx GP. It had been a glorious day, and the sea mist was coming straight off the sea and rolling to the top of the hills where it hung around as fog - and then as rain - and then back to nice dry weather. Having sat for a while at Niarbyl Bay, just taking in the scenery, and watching the mist roll 'uphill' from the sea, I decided it was time to head back to Port Erin, where I was staying. Of course, by the time I climbed into the hills, the fog was very thick, with visibility down to a few yards - after a few miles of this I started the descent and the fog turned to light rain. It was at this point that I approached the viewpoint in that picture - and I looked seawards at the magnificent view, complete with odd patches of cloud and mist. Now the road just happens to take a right hand bend there - and I was so engrossed with the view that I failed to notice the road was taking a turn. Not wanting to dump myself and the Guzzi on the road, braking whilst banked over was out of the question. Luckily I wasn't going all that fast ( this is a Nuovo Falcone after all ) so I managed to pull the bike upright - apply as much brake as possible . . . . before rolling sedately down the grass bank and coming to a halt by the picnic tables. Embarassed

The valuable lesson learned that day - - - LOOK WHERE YOU ARE GOING - - - even us old, so called experienced riders, can still make a complete dog's dinner of things. . . . on the plus side, any incident that you walk away unhurt from is a good incident in my book.
