Oil coolers are a lot stronger than Radiators... The Buell one has no fins. In fact it looks a lot like an oil filled radiator you might buy for your house!

But yes it doesn't seem to be the best position. Maybe Ducati want to sell loads of aftermarket grilles...

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Not forgetting the warranty, I'm sure it'll take the abuse.

It's probably been tested through hell and high water.

I doubt they'd want to have to recall and replace them on every model.

Lets face it how many Ducati riders take their bikes out on public roads fast enough to cause damage to the cooler? They just pose on them till they break down from electrical gremlins. Wink

You're forgetting they are Italian, the only testing it will have had is to make sure you look good on it with your new sunglasses.

Same position as a faired supersports lower fairing and probably the same price if you catch it.

It's on a similar place on my SV. Every time I hear a stone ping I cringe expecting to piss oli/water all over the road!

You know I know a bunch of italian guys like that.....

They ride all the way to Wales, pull up and still manage to look like catalogue models Laughing
