Its quite annoying! Thumbs Up

Yeh. Don't fall for the waxes on the market which claim to make water drops slip off.

I did, and all I ended up with was a bloody messy visor (and before you ask, I didn't put too much on.)

I'm afraid its just one of those things you have to put with if you wanna bike it in the rain. Sad

Bloody annoying ain't it.

Only cure I've found personally is riding around with my visor up.

Though that tends to cause my eyeballs to freeze Sad

Me too, its the only soloution.. wearing glasses helps a bit but only if you can see well enough to look over the top of them when they get misted/rained on..

I've had frozen eyelashes before, not allot of fun..
Hmm heated contact lenses.. (run off to patent office)

Theres a such a thing as heated skido helmet visors, quite an expense for the time we get anything near cold enough to warrent it, and not road legal, but interesting..

EDIT: you coudl get some de-icer fluid stuff, rig up a windscreen washer pump and have it aimed at your visor, push the button = visor gets de-iced.. appart from most likely destroying the visor and the horrific "accidental eyes full of de-icer at 70mph" thing its a good idea..

I have some ski gloves with a built in wiper blade on one of the fingers to scrape snow etc. off goggles. I think the bike glove makers are missing a trick here as that would be perfect to scrape the rain off a bike visor but there is no armour at all in the gloves I have...

they wouldn't grant you the patent etc, as you have now exposed/expressed your idea to the public, and some1 else could go an do it first now....

i dont have the time though, or the spare cash involved Laughing Laughing

although they should make gloves with armor and a wiper blade built in, handy Drooling Laughing

With this thick fog i just cant see anything with my visor down so i have taken to wearing a balaclava, with a buff (folded over twice), just over my nose and as close to the bottom of my eyes as possible, and then just riding with my visor open, its do-able for anything under 70mph...

Annoyingly i still am getting a snotty nose, and i hate having to constantly sniffle the snot back up, so it doesent make the inside of my balaclava/buff wet...

My Nolan N84 came with a Pinlock insert which prevents the inside of the visor fogging, but did nothing to prevent my glasses steaming up. So I now use a Respro Foggy Anti Fog Mask and treat my specs (a cheap pair for riding) with Bob Heath Visor Spray. Finally I treat the outside of my Visor with Rain-X, all this means I have clear vision up to a point as eventually I need to wipe the frozen fog off my visor with the swede strip on the back of my Frank Thomas gloves' index finger. I also use Wurth helmet and visor cleaner to get the visor clean before appyling the Rain-X, .............oh for it to be Spring again!

Rain-x wipes from Halfords are superb for treating the outside of your visor. A quick wipe with them, buff it with a piece of kitchen towel, and it beads away rain, and allows any other moisture or fogging to be wiped away with one finger. I really do recommend them, they've worked a treat for me in this pea-souper that's been hanging over London for the past few days.

Tilt your head forwards as much as possible then look out the top part of the visor. Almost as though your looking into the top of your eye sockets.

Tilting your head causes the wind to push the frost/water down your visor leaving a small part at the top relatively clear. Not ideal and only works if your doing 60+ really.

Just got back, tipping your head down doesent work with the freezing fog, but it does with water... Who would like to give me an honorary research degree?
