I've got an mot coming up very soon but not sure if my kill switch not working will result in a fail.

Anyone know?

You don't need a kill switch to pass an MOT. But there may be something about the fact that if it's fitted, it must be working.

I'd tape over it or something. Might get away with it (if it needs to be working if fitted).

They won't check so as long as you don't point it out it will pass.

Tape over it, ive a mate in the MOT trade and he has said that they are not allowed to remove anything from the vehicle in an MOT, therefor if it is covered up, then they can not remove the tape to check it. (ie, if its covered up, it doesnt have one so to speak)

There's every chance they might just press it anyway.
They will test it if they're worth their salt.

Yeah, that's true. But if you do have one fitted on the bike then it should be working correctly.
