Last night, nice patch of ice just accelerating out of a junction and then i was on the floor, luckily it was very close to my house so drove gently home.
Basically i should have been looking out a bit more and should have been aware of ice on the road at that time of night. But through my nieivity of being a newish rider i just wanted to get to my friends house. Must have only been at about 20MPH when the back wheel flicked out because of some ice and then griped rather rapidly again throwing me up in the air and to the right. And let me tell you, its not a nice experience!
Landed on the side of my helmet and slid down the road a little way, got straight back up and realised my hand hurt quite a bit. Although i suspect its just bruised the bone so ill live. The thing im most annoyed about it that i managed to snap the right rear set of the bike and effectively have no back brake or right foot peg so i should be getting that welded tomorrow and then at least its useable.
Will get some pictures put up, got one of my helmet but ive temporarily lost the digital camera !
All in all not a nice experience and im fine in myself except it was my left hand that was injured and im left handed and you know what that means no more college essays for the week

Bloody hell what do we have to say to make you people a bit more careful ?
Glad you are OK. Yep new lid time I'm afraid. Should be able to get an end of range designer one quite cheap at this time of year.
Losing control is a valid lesson. Took me far too long to learn it. The back wheel flipping out is a horrible sensation. |

Cheers for the concern guys, thumb seems to be the problem im going to give it a couple more days and see if it gets any better, swellings gone down, might just have bent it awkwardly in the fall. I dont break to easily though (he says)
Been out on my bike since, looks like the handle bars are bent too, might get myself some nice straight ones to go on. Believe me im being careful now!
Just have to get the message across to everyone to slow down a bit dont want them to learn the hard way too!
Thanks again ____________________ ~Sahf East Winnah~

The back stepping out is probably just accelerating too hard, happens to me sometimes and thats how i crashed. Easy to cure just remember if you do come off it bloody hurts. ____________________ ~Sahf East Winnah~
