Just watched Rocky Balboa aka Rocky 6 and imo this is the second best movie of all 6,
2,3,4,5, are not in the same league as 1 and 6 if you get chance go and see it.

It great to see that rawness and grit back in a Rocky movie that was so lacking in the follow'ons , this movie recaptures all that made Rocky the great film that it was and also Sly still has a great physique for a man of his age.

Thumbs Up Thumbs Up

Whens the next come out? Smile

But i did quite enjoy the film, doesn't really focus on boxing but he's life after it, so you can't really judge it to the other ones. If you've watched all the others then you'll probably like this one.

Just watched it and was pleasantly surprised. Definitely a better film than many of the sequels and fairly light on cringey moments considering Stallone's gotta be at least 120 by now.

Just watched the teaser trailer and I'm not too convinced to be honest, might wait until its on Sky.

It just looks like an excuse to make more money by spinning out a thin story line, I shook my head when searching and see that theres going to be a Shrek 3 Brick Wall.

Just leave the films on a high and stop.

making money maybe but i cant agree about spinning out a story line.

This film was needed to finish the story it always needed a real ending and thats what i see this film as"the end of the story"

Rocky 5 was pants to say the least, so closure of the series, maybe.

Watched it last night, thanks to Daz, and quite enjoyed it. I agree with the critics that it captured the spirit of the original, and I liked the way that Stallone plays the guy as a lovable moron with a heart of gold. (I wonder how much of it is acting). The fight scenes were pretty good, and that's coming from someone who isn't really interested in boxing!

It's not going to make you gasp with awe at an epic storyline, but it's decent fun for an hour and a half, and it's worth it just to see what a fookin' lump Stallone is, even at his age!

I agree with this whole heartidly.

I can't think of a better way to say goodbye to the character of Rocky.

Finished watching it now, I liked how the fight scenes were filmed, with it looking like a real boxing event, I actually prefer Rocky fighting scenes because something actually happens in them unlike in real boxing where they mostly just dance about.

It really was a fitting end to the Rocky legacy. Lets hope there isn't a Rocky 7.

On the realism side of things I also liked that they had the same commentators and announcer as the network that usually shows US fights (I forget which it is) and was surprised by the fact Tarver was actually passable as the Dixon character (he's a boxer, not an actor, for anyone who's not really into boxing and didn't know).

I'm surprised Stallone managed it at his age. Obviously age is no limit for the acting bit but it is to pulling off a convincing look as a professional boxer. I haven't watched it properly yet (just skimmed through it) but despite a tiny bit of fat in his lower back he looked in damn good shape for a 60 year old.

In his Boiography he's Quoted as saying that he'd Never make Rocky Six as it was written just for Closure for him and the Character.....He's Quoted as saying the same about Rambo.....

Obviously not made alot of money From the Condender.....

Well i just watched it all the way through and tbh i'm not sure if i liked it. It doesn't have the cheesyness of the other rocky films but it doesn't have the adrenaline filled excitement that makes you want to get up early the next morning and start training either. It's much slower paced and, as said, focuses less on the boxing and more on rockys personal life.

Not a great film but a graceful end to the series and not the usual Hollywood crap that's produced these days.
