How about (i sense a lot of you wont like/agree to it) a section in the 'Bike Chat Forums' part to specialise with scooters?

It would avoid all the random posts about them in other sections?

Would avoid the people who arent intrested in them posting in the scooter topics, Can be frustrating having all but a serious answer! (Dont mind a bit of banter though! Laughing )

There are dedicated scooter forums but its trying to get the new life in them, BCF is a very busy site!

Just an idea, Feedback please! Razz

The reason I say no is the same reason people don't get more specific regional sections - There's enough scope to include scooters already i.e. Workshop if you have a mechanical problem etc.

Well said, Joe.

As a scooterist I find it unnecessary and unhelpful of forums to segregate these two types of motorbikes. All it does is helps to perpetuate this 'us and them' attitude some bikers have against the scooterists.

Also, most people who are good with the technical stuff on bikes are often able to transfer this knowledge to scooters as well, so I'd find it frustrating having to post a technical query on a scooter section where the likes of e.g., Kickstart wouldn't necessary look at it, so it might be a while before anybody came up with any suggestions.

BCF is actually the only site I haven't ever got offensive or irrelevant replies to any technical queries about my scoot.

So, let's keep it as it is. One big happy family. Laughing

hmm when i was a lad the road was filled with mirror filled vespas and wallys in green parkers. I used to zip past em on my CBX and see if the wind would blow em off the road. Didnt know people still rode scooters, thought all Mod's where dead.
