depends what kind of games your into, fps and things like that work better on the pc, but driving games, fighting games and all the rest are better on console.

pc isnt just for games though, its a tool.

If your wanting something purley for games I'd go for the 360. I think the way it behaves online is great, and you never need to bother with machine specs and the like.

Saying that the PC gives you SO many more options, your main use may be games but unless you already have a PC, you'll be gaining a lot of functionality.

Agreed. Thumbs Up

Personally I think that FPS is better with a mouse, the thumbsticks on consoles don't move the cross hairs fast enough IMO.

XBox 360 Thumbs Up

We bought ourselves one the other day to entertain us during the boredom of the xmas hols

There is nothing like swearing on-line when you get shot, to people all around the world on Call Of Duty XBox Live Exclamation Laughing Evil or Very Mad
It id is a seriously good game. Nothing like flying round on a bike and sidecar, or in a tank, blasting people to bits!
Lots of tactics in there. Lots of differing on-line games to choose from.
It's amazing how many Yanks take this WW2 game very seriously. You can hear them discussing tactics, and generally talking as if it were a life or death situation for them.
Me, I just like running about shooting people willy nilly Mr. Green

Lost Planet is also a v good on-line game. There are two-legged robot machine guns you can climb inside. Great fun!

The graphics are great on it, much better than I imagined. And the game choices are impressive

This year I will hopefully get myself a PSP and a Wii as well, in that order

Can I see your extensive game time on this console, that you have based your expert opinion on?

Although I'm not jumping on the PS3-is-shite bandwagon like everyone else seems to, without playing one I may add, I have played both the Wii and the Xbox 360, and I think the Xbox 360 is nothing short of amazing, and the Wii is pretty good though not my cup of tea. You can argue with it, it's the next step towards Virtual Reality games. I like the racing game though, damn good fun.

For what you've said you want it for I'd stick with the 360. To get a PC that will play games to the same spec, your looking at a fair bit more money

PC's, and consoles are completely different kettles of fish/boxes of technology.

found this https://www.winsupersite.com/showcase/xbox360_vs_ps3.asp
still can't do the 'clicky' thing Crying or Very sad Evil or Very Mad

have a look, or google xbox 360 vs ps3, the Wii will probs get dragged into all reviews concerning these consoles Cool

360 for plug & play gamer

pc for in depth gaming

im about to build a new pc myself & believe me pc hardware is nowere near dead

aslong as you build a fat enough spec'd pc you'll have no probs

its all moving onto SLI graphics cards now & after iv built my new one im looking into water cooling it Thumbs Up

so IMO pc cains any console when its a high spec one & also if high spec enough then you dont need to worry about min specs on the games & it has all the extras aswell Thumbs Up

i use mouse & keyboard for FPS,pad/s for football or arcadey style racing games & got wheel & pedals for simulation racing Very Happy

PS: this will turn into the console V pc debate again now

I agree with Lexy completley, and a high spec PC will kick the arse of any console, but it's all down to what you want to spend. What sort of budget are you looking at?

£ for £ you won't get more bang for your buck than the 360.

For pure FPS gaming with smooth controls PC will rule, but you'll pay for it.

Wink

WC disperses the heat so much better then AC (same with when you compair WC & AC bikes) & heat kills performance(when too hot anyway)
