dt125's rock!!! not a crosser, it a Dirt/Trials bike and the newer version are worse for de-restricting

restricted they 12bhp and de-resticted they suppost to be like 24bhp i think.

But it realy difficult to de-restict the later one as the cdi has restictions fo rth eservo that opens the powervalve.

Then earlyer ones like myn didnt come with a servo so when u plug one in it works properly. or u can jam it open Smile

not great for wheelying as de-restricted they some what narrow power band, but re-stricted by the exhaust and with the power valve pen they well easy to wheely but still no great power to continue through the gears.

Dt easy bike to cain about of road still scare the hell out u and not hurt u. myns probly 17bhp at a push and will spin the back wheel all the way around the dirt track staying in 3rd dumping the clutch

Why? The engines would probably be tuned differently to make power at different stages...for instance, who would really want to do more than 70mph on a DT125? I believe that most of the 125 "crossers" (lets use that term to keep things simple, eh? Smile) can wheelie off the throttle, so obviously there is more low down power.

Should be around 23-25bhp, but it will feel a lot more powerful as it is geared a lot lower. But then again, it will top out at 80-85.... Very Happy

Crossers are generally set up to have more low down power. Because power=torque x rpm. They are likely to have less power for a similar model crosser vs road bike.

Are you using it on road or off road? If it's for on road use then a DT125 or KMX is a good choice. If you're looking at off road use then don't get the DT or KMX get a proper off road bike, if it was me I would get the CR125 or YZ125.

the KDX is a crosser made for the road and can hack it off road and just cope on road. The kmx is opposite.

DT's are super reliable, if a little slow.

Husky wr(e) 125 for a really pukka 125, or the SM version.

Dont go for a four stroke.

Ive got a Cagiva supercity 125. its a supermoto 125. I love it.

The fact is that a crosser 125 is in a different leauge to a "road crosser."
