He's had the blade for ages as you've seen him on it in a few top gear programmes and in Brainiac when he used it to race a golf ball and a firework!

EDIT/ Oh and Best Of Top Gear is on BBC2 at 8 tonight!

Great to see the hamster back on two wheels....that cheesy grin really showed that he enjoyed himself.

The only other thought that I had was....why was he in bloody jeans....you would think that he would now be obsessive about safety kit (BTW.....I am not a safety Nazi!)

What's to say they aren't kevlar-lined, and thus pretty safe?

Whats to say he was actually heading out on the bike and had in actual fact already been out when the BBC heard about and asked if they could come round and get him to pose for a picture, just common sense kicking in makes me think that.

I bet he doesn't give two hoots about the Jeans, lets face it when you survive a near 300MPH crash, you can survive just about anything. Very Happy

Some of you guys are beyond a joke. A guy can't be seen anywhere near a bike wearing jeans without getting all the safty-nazi criticism Rolling Eyes

Like someone else said, the guy just survived a 300mph car crash, maybe he has a better prospective on relative risk than you.

My last crash was a 60mph off wearing shorts and trainers, and I still continue to ride to work in my trainers and shorts (even the same ones I was wearing that day, which are all ripped up). Though not right now as I have a cold. Get a grip, everyone has the right to make their own decisions in life. Make yours, then keep your mouth shut about other people Karma
