step one. buy a nice little bike from him for £90.

step two. fix it in half an hour using kitchen roll.

it had dirt in the alternator. Very Happy

I'm not bothered. I cut my losses and sold it, I never would have thought of dirt in the alternator, so I still got my 90 quid for it.
