Meta M357TV2 all the way. ____________________ Be careful whose advice you buy, but, be patient with those who supply it. I had a Meta 357 on my 954 Blade and it was faultless, unlike the Datatool I'd had previously on my R6. Got a Meta M357TV2-1 Cat 1 upgrade on the R1 and had no problems with it at all, it's even got a lovely key conversion.
I've just bought a pager system to go with it that I'm sure I'll get round to fitting when the weather is better. |

I have an Almax chain, lock and ground anchor from the lovely Maxine and she gave me a tenner off for being a member of the forum. Got from Here their online store. Chain is huge and the ground anchor was easily fitted by my monkey hands. I also have a Meta 357 whatever. |

My stepdad has the same model of blade as you, he has the datatool alarm fitted it i remember correctly, thinks its brilliant, never bothered with any security other than it and a garage. Infact its so good, sometimes HE cant even get the bike started . Also i once set off the alarm in the garage by mistake, it almost deafened me, as far as im aware they use the highest available legal alarm ____________________ Will work for petrol

Don't forget that it is more often down to the standard of workmanship and knowledge of the alarm fitter, that determines how good your alarm will work and how reliable it will be in the future.
I think a lot of alarm problems are caused by bad fitting and not the actual failure of the alarm unit etc. So whatever you choose either Meta, Datatool or other cat 1, make sure that the person doing the work is experienced and recommended. ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |
