What kind of exhaust is it? Is it road legal? Is it blatantly obvious that it's an aftermarket exhaust? (stickers etc)

I assume that you bought the bike privately then?

Is there any chance of sourcing an original exhaust?

When will these people learn? You are not commuting, you don't take pillions and you do under 1500 miles a year. *That* is how you get your insurance down Razz

You need more miles than that cos a lot of the companies see that low a mileage as a risk cos you don't have much experiance. Apparantly its better to go for around 4k.

Anything over 3k puts your insurance up, if anything I'd say go with 2500 maximum. Smile

Oh, and being in a locked garage don't mean squat when you only have TPO. Very Happy

Erm, that's a bit hit and miss I'm afraid. Insurance companies will do all that they can to avoid paying out. Confused

You could possibly plead ignorance and say that the bike came with the exhaust and you didn't know otherwise...

I shouldn't worry about it.

Don't tell them, in the worst case scenario either you right it off or you run someone over they probably won't notice the exhaust. If it's insured for theft, then you simply don't claim extra for the replacement can.

I'm going third party, as long as everything would be ok with the other party if i had a crash that's fine with me?

Any further advice on that? Would the other party still get whatever would be needed? And I be free of trouble?

Thanks

Hi

Wouldn't be too sure of that. Surprised it made that much difference if it is a legal exhaust (and Micron 2 stroke exhausts normally are).

Failing that try a Kawasaki breakers to pick up a 2nd hand standard exhaust. KZ Bits for example

All the best

Keith

Awwwww. So young, honest, and not knowing the ways of the bike world :p You could try and get some lessons off G or zimma

As everyone says, just dont mention it. Anyway, thats the standard exhaust the bike comes with isnt it? Wink
