Right, the exhaust on the Shadow is just about knackered now, but finding a replacement is not as easy as I expected it would be!

It looks like I would be better off having a simple aftermarket system made and fitted, doing away with the collector box.

Does anyone know of any reputable exhaust manufacturers who would knock up something like that without charging the earth?

Danker in advance. Wink

Zorstec will build a exhaust for you, not sure where you are but I think they are in Shipley, North of Bradford? They quoted £320 for handmade 4-2 downpipes and £140 per end can. Sounds a lot but this was only £50 more than an off the shelf Predator exhaust, a 4-1 from Zortec was cheaper than any others I could find for my ZL. They make some real nice custom stuff and they take your bike and fit it all. A twin is going to be less, just ask them.

Just searched for JAMA exhausts, they do one for the VT400C and the VT600C, but not the 500!

I would expect one of them should fit, but dont want to go laying out 320 big ones without being sure. Might be worth giving them a ring me thinks. Thumbs Up

Just seen the pic of your bike and believe it is a genuine only choice.

I've had trouble getting parts for the one you have before as very few people have a fiche for it.

Have you tried a company called Motard?

They seem to make exhausts for most bikes.
