 |
|
I did a video the other day, and over 10mph all I got was wind noise! Couldn't hear the engine or anything other than wind
So I've been trying to block it out, with no success so far...
I tried putting a bit of sellotape over the microphone, which although it was slightly better, still made a wind noise when I blew into it?
So does anybody have any ideas on how I would block out the wind noise?
By the way, this is my camera, with the microphone just next to the lens.

Dammit
I just had an idea with some cling film, stretched it over the lens and mic then put an elastic band on to hold it tight, quality was still good but it still gets wind noise when I blow into it
Would be nice to have a port for an external mic, but then it defeats the point of a wireless unit.
Might just do a video with the camera facing backwards, that way the wind shouldn't hit the microphone? |

Setting the cam as far as below the screen will help reducing wind noise. I set folded towel over the meters(inside the screen) at first(to set the cam), then fix the cam with parcel tape on the cowling(together with towel).

Could also be picking up vibrations couldn't it?
What i would do is get some pipe insulation foam, then cylidrical stuff, the cut to size, leaving spaces where you need to access stuff then slide it inside, then wrap in duck tape. Then just attach to your bike really firmly
My 2 cents |

It's a tinted screen but it still records fine, I did a tank cam on it before and came out fine. But I want to be able to mount this thing wherever I want! The idea of getting a wireless unit!

Bullet cam I use has a seperate mic, tried it in my bag before and it wasn't great, inside the helmet turned out ok as i could add commentry if i wanted as i went along
Graham best bet IMO would be to edit out the sound afterwards or cover with music.
Or if you really want sound use a seperate recorder and microphone then mix it in sync with the video on your pc
It's been a good while since I've been out with a cam but this was one of my last attempts - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=X-kbUJXJjlc
BTW sorry about the angle the cam gets at after a while didn't notice till I put it on the pc! |
