I'm afraid it's a measly 22 miles for me
But I am planning to take the RXS100 to Newquay as soon as it get a bit warmer, and that'll be 320 miles one way (from Medway).
Can't be bovvered with long trips in this coldness. ____________________ I'm a lover, not a fighter. |

Montpellier to Hatfield , about 750 miles, on my 750 gixer. Left at lunchtime, got home at about 3am.

I reckon that my highest daily total is around 350 miles, which I have achieved a few times.
The most enjoyable one was from waking up in Assen, Holland from a drunken haze the day after the MotoGP, jumping on our bikes just before dinner time and taking a steady ride back (by steady I mean keeping just above the Dutch speed limit) to catch the ferry at tea time in the Hook of Holland. From there we had about three and a half hours on the fast ferry back to Harwich in Essex and as soon as we rolled off the boat it was head down and throttle pinned back to make it back to the Midlands for around ten or eleven 'o clock at night. We only stopped once and that was because we needed fuel, so we literally filled up, had a quick drink and off we went again.
Not bad considering I was on an R6 and my mate was on a GSXR600 both of us carrying rucksacks with five days worth of gear in them them. They are not exactly good bikes to travel long distances on! But it was certainly fun! ____________________ Yamaha YZF-R6 |
