The rather crappy 1982 SAS film 'Who dares wins' was on the telly late last night, starring TV tough guy Lewis Collins (he was always my favourite in The Proffesionals as Martin Shaw had a girly haircut).
During the film Lewis hops onto a bike and goes off for a clandestine meeting with his wife, the bike only appears for a very brief moment and i have absolutely no idea what sort of bike it was, other than it had (what looked like) a red trellis frame and a full fairing.
Any movie trivia buffs on here that can identify the bike for me? I've done a quick google but it didn't come up with anything.
Cool

I think its a Harris Magnum II or III. Don't know exactly which.

The Internet Movie Car Database said it was either a Laverda or a Ducati, but it isn't. Its definately a Harris Magnum of some sort.

Remember kids, bikes aren't like lego. You can't easily take a part from one bike and then fit it to another.

Thanks biking anoraks - having done a bit of a google on Harris Magnums i'm fairly certain it was one of them.
Found a site that listed it as a Suzuki, so is it possible that it was an old 1100 gixer engine in a magnum frame?
Forgive my ignorance here (i'm thankfully young enough to have by-passed the days of magnums and spondons etc) but was the magnum just a chassis/frame, or did you get fairing parts with it? From the brief view i got of the bike it looked a bit like an old gixer fairing, all slab-sided and nasty looking (IMHO) - but AFAIK the gixers didn't make an appearance till the mid 80's - 1985 i think.

I was watching Kill Bill and when I saw Uma on that yellow GPZ I thought:

Mmm, not the obvious bike to pick for a cool chick, but I'm feeling stragely attracted to its yellow glow... Razz

I'm going to require some form of pictorial evidence to verify your claim.
