Are you seriosly telling me some one /rides/ that?

Now I've been told that I sometimes lack a fear of crashing, but even me on that and I'd hardly lean it or want to turn the throttle.

I doubt the bike is /that/ much better than a standard bike for riding, it's a whole loader better for 'poncing' on though, I suspect Razz

I dunno G. Top spec suspenders, lightweight wheels, I suspect lightweight carbon bodywork, AFAIK the zaust will unleash a few more horses while weighing less than standard. That underseat system will also keep the weight central.

The only 'iffy' thing performance wise is te single swinger.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention the uprated brakes.

So its pretty safe to say that it will be better round the track than a standard one.

The single sided swing arm shouldn't have negative affects to the handling should it Colin? The 916/996/998 all have single sided swing arms and they're some of the best bikes for the track. Not to mention the RC45.

Possibly not, but it won't have any positive effects either.

They tend to be as heavy, or heavier even, than a double sided of similar strength.

Ahhh I see what you're saying. I suppose with the bike not being designed with a single side swing arm it won't help either, might be a bit unbalanced or not braced properly. Bleh, forget I posted Razz

It should be better round a track than a standard one, but not significantly better than a generally standard bike with reworked forks and aftermarket shock.

A good track bike rarely allways make a good road bike though.

If it has loads of engine work done on it, then maybe. But bikes like that are usually used as 'showcases'... no need for engine work 'cos you can't see it.

I'm not a good enough rider to make use of that suspension over a bike with uprated shock/fork internals (never actually ridden a bike with stock suspension on the track, but I doubt I'd push a R with tweaked stock suspension to it's limits to be honest... the limits would be me not the suspension). I doubt they help on the road... generally you want softer suspension to absorb bumps etc.

How true and i doubt many riders could.
I'm sure most people with bike's cannot push their bike to the absoloute brink of what its capable off.

Can I ask the forums men a personal question?

don't bikes that lift that high at the back and have such low handlebars crush your nuts the instant you get on them?

I actually found the NSR easier on the nuts than the GS because my big belly took the weight the more I laid down so I reckon it'd be OK on all the above bikes Wink

Na, not really Mrs H.
The seats tend to be angled downa bit to compensate... the problem comes when you go over a bump with hardish suspension/seat *OUCH*.
