I was just wondering if you know if there is somekind of powercharts for the NSR 125 11kw version on the net. It would be interesting for me too have a look. Please tell me if you know anything about this.

I don't have a powerchart print out. But I did see my power curve on saturday and it was very smooth IMO. But then again it's only 23.7 BHP, so i'm not really bothered.

At the rear wheel. That was on a DynoJet dyno and i reckon it was fairly accurate

I just wanted too see how the effect builds up over the the revs and to see in what area the engine will produce the most power and how much this area differs from a bit lower revs, like 5-7 k .Not really that important, but still, if you happen to bump into one, let me know Smile

Well if you go to a dyno shop with your NSR, give them a bit of cash, they'll put your bike on the dyno and give you a nice colour print out to take home Smile Thats if you really want one. Then you could put it on the net for everyone to see who wants to see

Hmm, yeah, I guess I could do that also. But I'm not sure where they would have such equipment. Does normal motorcycle dealers/garages have it, or do I have too go somewhere special? You were talking about a dynoshop?

Hey 23.7bhp aint bad for an NSR 125 i would say. is that with the std pipe? ive heard of an NSR with a Nikon pipe did 23bhp at the r/w, and also one with a Giannelli pipe that produced 22.5bhp. Either way thats about 3-4bhp to add to get a crank figure. So you would have 27-28bhp at the Crank. The only 125 that i have got a dyno chart for is a 98 KMX125, std but de-restricted, and that did 20.1bhp r/w which is 24bhp at the crank near enough.

I don't get why people ever quote figures at the crank. it means fuck all. I dont care if its 500bhp at the crank, i care what it is at the wheel Smile

the NSR one was standard, just fully derestricted 2001 model UK spec

I know what you mean, but lets be honest crank figures are more impressive, and if your gonna tell sumone how powerful your bike is your gona quote the crank figure right? All the manufacturers only qoute crank bhp, so thats what gets shouted around in pubs etc. i dont really care what power my bikes make, so long as it feels good when you ride it. But id much rather say that my zx6r has 109bhp (crank fig) than 94bhp (tested at the wheel). And its the same for cars. All the car nuts want to know is the max bhp fig possible, and as a result most dyno centres qoute crank bhp and not what they have measured at the wheels, as it sounds more impressive, even tho the crank bhp figure can only be estimated from the transmission losses expected. Everbody wants big bhp numbers so, dyno centres are quite happy to give a crank fig, based on their own guess work usually.

Most people shout about thier at the wheel figures, as thats what they get when they get it dynoed. And if someone quotes a bhp that sounds to high, you ask if thats crank or wheel, then when told its at the crank, people ask for it at the wheel.

I'd rather have the correct figure, and not some figure which is pointless and means nothing to me at the end of the day

Not all. Ducati quote the figures for at the wheel, and have done for years

All the best
