Hi
I recently bought Honda CB600 F2-Y. I called insurance company and told them my motorbike type is CB600 FS. When I received form from insurance company there is stated CB600SF????Price of insurance is slightly cheaper with this type of bike as I check on internet but I think is incorrect type of bike. Can I leave it like that or call them back? Will I be in trouble when something happens with bike?(stolen or accident).
Thank you for advices. Ricky Rolling Eyes

Call them back and get it changed immediately. They will try to wriggle out of a claim for the smallest reason (even if they made the mistake). I heard of one person who had a claim rejected because the registration number on the policy document didn't match that of the bike (they got two numbers the wrong way round).

This is why they ask you to check over the document when it arrives: if there is even the slightest difference (as with your case) they may, in the worst case, say that the policy is void or, in the best case, compensate you for the lesser bike.

Only you can answer that. What does it say on your V5c?

I suspect that you have a CBR600F2

That said I've got a Japanese import so it wasn't on the database at Adrian Flux. After some discussion they insured it as a unique vehicle with a quote that was the equivilant of a CB250

The 'f2' model lasted up until 98 I think. While the CBR600Y was an 'f3' model.

Presuming your bike is of the 'jelly mould' shape (ie the fairings cover the frame as well), then 'FS' is probably actually the right model.
