Chicken strips depend on the tyre.

On the BT45 on my ER they are right on the edge.

Whereas on the Z (can't think of the tyre ) , they are like 5-8mm in and a bigger tyre.

Also I can have my pegs and toe sliders down, but still chicken strips on the BT45.

I made the text centered and made one for normal 1024x768 users aswell as widescreen 1440x900 users. See attached.
