Triumph Speed Four Discontinued?

Considering I just binned my bike and looking at the positives (I'm still alive, opportunity to get a new bike etc), I'm looking at getting a Speed 4.

It's still listed on the website, but is it now discontinued and therefore impossible to get one new?

Think they are discontinued. Last ones were punted out new for under £4k.

They have been discontinued for over 12 months now, you might be able to get a new one still if you are very lucky. Parts will not be a problem at all, the majority are in stock at the factory and anything that isn't is likely to only take a matter of days to get.

As Keith says, the last ones were sold at less than £4k and most had a load of kit on (bellypan, hugger, rad cowls, alarm) so make sure you don't pay too much.

A quick Bike Trader search shows Woods of Abergele and On Yer Triumph selling new ones for £3999. At this time of year I would be surprised if they wouldn't take £3500 for them with no p/x.

There have got to be some new one's still sitting around in dealers around the country. If they do take £3500 cash, then that is one hell of a lot of bike for little dosh! Id be pretty chuffed with a deal like that!

I know some dealers still have new ones. I was in the Watford dealers offsite storage only a few months ago and he had several just sitting there waiting for a loving home.

In the summer there where loads left, they had imported some from spain, without the extras (Bodykit, Alarm, hugger etc.) They where knocking them out at 3k. There are always a few nearly new ones on ebay from 2.5k. You could wait until the new naked daytona 675 come out later this year, I can't wait to see those. I don't know if you have sat on one yet but it's not like your average naked 600, it has clipons and is very revy, personally I love it but a fair few people disagree.

i like tt600s so i think i like speed fours as they are similar. i agree with what has been said about them being a bit different from other bikes. Higher specced than most budget naked 600s.

Twitchy handling is great at lower speeds and makes it feel like a smaller bike but engine is not quite as smooth as some others. Try it out to make sure you like it before you buy.

I tried an sv650 and a few tt600s, and i did prefer the tt600s.

i have a tuneboy

it just means you can download fuel maps, or get your bike set up on the dyno with it to be pretty much perfect

the tuneboy by itself wont make the fuelling perfect, you have to have a guy set it up which takes a few hours which he charges for

the guy i bought my bike off did this, but got a bit impatient as it was nearly finished, so didnt finish off the low rev fuelling

the result is that i have two fuel maps

one is great at revs above 4k but v jerky below, and the standard map which is only slightly jerky below 4k, and is slightly jerky above

i need to merge the two, as im not gonna fork out to have a map done for the 4k and below bit

i have a race exhaust which i havnt fitted, and when i fit that, i will switch to a race can map, or i might get it set up on the dyno but unlikely
