I only eat F&C once a year. Second weekend in Feb the Ariel club have their first rally of the year in the Forest of Dean Gloucester.
You are expected to turn up on a British bike, preferably Ariel and trailers are frowned on. Every year 40 odd of us ride from all over the country in the cold to sit in a crowded bunk house and eat fish and chips with our mates after a ride in the mud.
Bloody magic, it is what owning a bike is all about.

Thumbs Up Cool

Been arrangeing a mini rally affair for the past few weeks, probably going to be a meer handfull turn up but should be a larf (or a spectacular disaster) but if all goes well hopefully will make it a regular thing(well once a year).. i'm not sure fish and chips will be involved, might take a while to cook on the fire Confused

Small rallys are good.
I organise a do in Shropshire during October and normaly get about 30 turn up. I know each of those people and I know how well they can handle a bike, this allows me to use the hardest, steepest most potholed and muddy lanes I know in confidence that we will not kill anyone. If you get 200 turn up you get problems.

Once a week? Fuck that, healthy eating ftw! Look and feel better, I can vouch for the fact that snacking on fruit etc. drinking loads of water and staying away from processed shite makes you feel a hell of a lot better Thumbs Up

Shocked I should say so! Laughing I quite agree that more people don't = more fun (in rally terms, orgies might work differently maybe) in fact rideouts with over 30 odd are nowt but blimin hard work (might not be quite the same off the road mind!)

It does me good to know theres british classics out there that are getting used for what they were built for, not as motorised doylies Thumbs Up

If you're really hardcore, you do both. Mostly Dutch people with sidecars "We are fucking krayzee yah? Here, you schmoke some of thees then we all be friends together.".

Wouldn't mind doing the Dragon rally, but am hopefully visiting Dublin the following week for a few days of ridiculously heavy drinking, so funds probably can't stretch to it.

If you decide you're gonna do the Elephant rally next year then I'm sure I could find the time/money/bike to join you. Seriously, if you want to do it then I will make sure I can do it as well, would be a reet laugh! Your CX complete with the totally evil uber-fairing would probably be the second best thing to a sidecar in those conditions!

Bah, you'd have me there to help you pick the bike up off you. Of course in exchange you'd be obligated to help pick up whatever contraption I'd be riding, which would undoubtedly be heavy (my love of steel), and which I'd inevitably crash on numerous occasions (my love of riding like a knob and crashing). I sense a plan forming... Will have to talk more about this as the weekend! I bet we can rope Mouse and Barwick into this as well!

But since being a chef at a 'fish' side pub, we do endless ammount of fish. Today,(I never work Sundays) but hell, we did like 60 odd fish and chips????
Bloody nightmare I tell ya.
Ive not eaten F&C since last year! Sick

I don't think its the brain's fault in not telling you. The brain always tells you.

Whether you wanna listen to it is a completely different story.....

I always thought the Dutchies say 'Fer sure...' at least once every sentence - i think they might have been lying to you and not really Dutch at all.
I reckon Rossi might be half Dutch as he always says 'Fer sure...' in post race interviews. I was bored once and counted how many times he said after a race.
It was a lot.
