Do like paying for parking your bike?
Don't you think bikers get enough shit what with getting knocked off by car drivers speaking on their mobiles?
And what about congestion charging? How the hell are we supposed to get to work now that Red Ken charges Londoners 25% extra on what are already the most expensive rail/underground prices in Europe (especially when you consider the quality of the ride! Crammed like sardines in a stinking, delayed train with graffiti and pick-pockets all over it?)
And don't get me started on the complete absence of controls against terrorist attacks.

Yeh charge me for parking as well you twats!

Well you should look like you give a Flip, because like many things in this country they quite often started in London, then they spread to the next major cities, and then the towns....

Although I'm fairly sceptical of the power these petitions have. Even extreemly high profile ones that make the news (Such as the fairly recent Breast Cancer treatment one) often get ignored by Mr Blair and crew.

Is there any solid evidence that these internet petitions achieve anything? Apart from a huge mailing list to sell to spammers of course.

Well actually yes. I know Manchester City Council are chomping at the bit to implement a similar scheme in the centre. And although it hasn't happened yet it wouldn't suprise me in the slightest if Birmingham or Manchester had their own congestion charge systems before long.
