No, a 450 or 550 version may exist at some point, but it will based on the high maintenance supermoto engine I suspect.

It will be a v-twin, so will most probably be a lot slower than a sports bike 4 cylinder 600.

Just a little bit of info, but the sports 400's were really created due to the strange bike licence laws in japan, no idea how they work but i think that for the more cc's you want over there its another test and more training and many people never got past 400cc, they change the laws i think and thats why 400's stoped being made

That seems quite silly to me, I'm sure there's demand for 400c sportsbikes overhere.

Not really. Costs do not really go down to drill slightly smaller holes and put a touch smaller pistons in.

The 400s appear still fair spec now because they were massively higher spec than the 600s from when they were designed, and the build quality was far higher. Look at a 1990 VFR400 and a 1990 CBR600 and they are massively different in quality.

An officially imported NC30 was about 1/3 more expensive than a CBR600. Most came from Japan as 2nd hand imports, as 2nd hand bike in Japan were virtually worthless (it wasn't unknown for people to have to pay the dealer extra to take their older but perfectly servicable bike off their hands).

All the best

Keith

A ZXR 400 would be the better choice, you know it makes sense Whistle Wink
