Hi. This isn't my scooter before anyone asks, it's a friends. It's a 50cc Yamaha Neos btw. But he claims that he was going down a big hill whilst accelerating, so it sounds like the engine is going to blow up and he said it made some funny noises as if the engine couldn't take it and then cut out. So he pulled over and it started again straight away, the thick cunt, not learning from his mistakes, decided to do it again and now it wont start at all. Anyone know why/what the cause may be?

do the usual things, check for spark, as cdi may have over heated,
change the plug, make sure you are getting fuel to the carbs,
it may be minor, but chances are he's toasted the bad boy

Hmmmnz - He told me that he is getting a spark. He is doing his car test soon, so I think he is going to sell it as a non runner. Rolling Eyes

ok, is trhe engine still turning over??
if so thats a good sign, atleast its not the bottom end.
whats the compression like,
take the spark plug out put finger over hole and turn the bike over,
if you can keep your finger on, then its probly just the rings,
not a real major at all,
may have to remove the head to rebore and stick in an over sized piston and new rings if he has damaged the bore,

do you think its wise for a guy like him to be driving??? Mr. Green lol

Hi. The only thing he told me was the 'story' part of how it cut out and now says it wont start at all. I'll mention some off the stuff to him cause I dont see him that often.

tbh, sounds as if he seized it and has damaged either ring or bore which maybe has lead to low compression, which is a common cause of non-starting.

cylinder off time if you ask me Smile
