hey guys although i am still looking i have been looking at a few differnet bikes

a few that have come to mind are these

Cagiva Mito 125 cc
Aprila rs 125 cc
Honda NSR 125 cc
Hyosung GT125R

can any one give me any advice on these bikes or anything would be help full thanks

I own an NSR125R its a great little bike, it accelerates well, corners well, will do 80 with a bit of coaxing, and its pretty easy to maintain.

Its not to expensive to get parts for it, and when something does go wrong its usually an easy fix.

The thing I don't like about it is how flimsy the fairing panels are, they seem to want to break if you are taking them off.

But yeh 2 strokes make good fun learner bikes Very Happy

I'll wave the Mito flag here... 105mph (altho slightly better cond Mitos will clip 110mph), 7 gears, handles like a demon, feels like a much bigger bike other than the lack of 4T engine braking... and the frame is plenty tough enough to take a MUCH bigger engine... take yer average 400cc sportsbike, pop it's engine out and whack in a tuned 125cc engine, and that's effectively the Mito. Looks great, never had any reliability issues with mine. As per usual, it's all in the maintenance as it's a 2 stroke. Flip-up petrol tank makes for easy maintenance... 6 screws out and I've got access to the whole engine...

Parts for them aren't as expensive as folks make out - you just have to buy them from the right place (I always use MME Motorcycles by mail order in London).

180km / £11 to / for a full tank of petrol...

i guess it depends what ur looking for in the bike but from what i've heard and read the cagiva and rs are the fastest most say the mito has the edge but i think they're very similar performance wise. they also both look good so down to taste really. i'd go for the mito myself Smile

Got an RS125 and they're good bikes. Are some issues with reliability but a lot of that comes down to the previous owner taking care of it (also mine was a direct import from Germany I think so there's some probs with it). Clutch on mine can be quite heavy so it takes a fair amount of revs to pull away smoothly and therefore may not be ideal if you've jst learn't. Soon easy to get hang of though.

Compared to the ZX6R which I have the RS is much better on handling. Nice and light and easy to chuck it into corners.

If I had the choice again though (was also thinking of a new NSR125 when I got mine) I might go for the Honda as I reckon they're better on reliability and just that wee bit more practical (stuff like bungee hooks etc).

ive got an rs125, and im enjoying it Smile

to be honest i dont think theres much in it between the rs and mito, they are both about as quick as each other, just go with whichever one you like the look of. but be aware that if you are new to bikes they arent that easy to get the best out of them, you have to be quite commited Thumbs Up

think am probs gonna go with the mito looks good and as from what i have heard on hear sounds like am gonna love it .

as for been comitted its something i have always had a passion for just have the time and money for it now Smile

Don't know anything about the bikes themselves - just wanted to add another nod towards the Cagiva purely on the looks front. Possibly the best looking 125 out there.

Hi depends on what your looking for really the NSR is quite a big bike so you wont look like a tit on it. I was going to get one but decided to go for a honda Varadero instead it looks like a 600 and will give you instant respect on the road. Its not a fast bike top end toping out at 75 with the wind behind you but 260 miles on a full tank and an upright comfy riding position and a with big bike looks you cant go wrong also 4 stroke reliability.
