Yup, I passed my theory yesterday and had to ride all they way to Reading from where I live (only 40 minutes or so) but in the howling wind I could only do about 40Mph.
And the worst things that could have happened on they way there did happen.
Ran out of petrol Luckily right next to a petrol station
Then when I'm in Reading and just 2 minutes away from the test centre the chain comes off the rear wheel. I just put it back on and off I was. Parked my bike on some street and before I left it I was checking to see if it moved much because of the wind. Didn't move at all so I thought it would be safe.
Go to take the test and have to remove everything and put it in lockers. Take my big jacket off, my overalls, boots, gloves, helmet and my bag. Had to take 3 lockers
Went in, took the test and halfway through the test I thought "SHIT! the bike's fallen over" I just knew it had fallen over. Finish the test and wait patiently for my result and pleased I was when I saw the "congratulations" and the certificate.
Got 34 out of 35 on the multiple choice and 51 out of 75 on the hazards (what a load of bollocks)
I go towards my bike and notice it's on it's side. But no worries, only the plastic "chrome" end is broken. And the brake lever is slightly bent but didn't notice till I was riding. Everything is fine. Just got a scratch on the barend. Oh well.
Went in today to talk to the instructor at my local bike shop and booked the test for March the 2nd which is the earliest it can be done. Got 2 whole day training sessions on the 1st of March and the 28th of Feb. £375 all in for the CG125 for all 3 days, petrol, all kit, test, and instructor.
I also saw a '98 GSXR600SRAd and pwhaor was I impressed. I jsut wnated to get on it and ride away! Looked so good IMO.
Roll On MArch the 2nd

Congratulations on passing your theory and on fighting your way through the elements relatively unscathed |
