How to disable a scooter immobiliser?

Last minute efforts to make our Malaguti Firefox F15 scooter work for racing it on Saturday, we think its got an immobiliser which is whats stopping it from starting as the key we've got is a 'spare key' type that isn't big enough for the immobiliser chip or whatever it is.

Lights on the dash come on when the ignition is switched on, the horn works if we plug it back in, there's a lttle red LED flashing on the dash which is why we think there's an immobiliser.

So how do you disable scooter immobilisers? No, the ped it isn't nicked, no one would steal this thing anyway. Razz

i have a box full of a malaguti firefox parts, pistons, bores, bearings, full engine with broken brake mount, spare gears basically enough to build 1 or 2 engines. got a calipar somewhere i think but the bleed nipple is screwed.

I have a the above scooter, it will idle but when I touch the throttle it dies. I have the correct keys. I took it to my garage who said I needed a new immobiliser, keys and barrels an expensive job I fear. Does anyone know if there is a cheaper way of going about this? I have tried everything and two garages cant fix it without renewing the immobiliser etc. Does anyone know of a bypass or something that will get my machine back on the road. Missing the nice weather......
