Has anyone bought a phone on one of those offers giving a free Xbox or ipod or whatever? Like THIS What sites has anyone used.

www.e2save.com always looked OK. But remember they'll be making the money back from the XBox etc somehow, you're probably better off, when looking for a contract, looking at the discounted line rental stuff. The only disadvantage being you have to send off your invoices every 4 months to get a cheque for the money back.

It's actually for the wife and comparing with her current contract, the only difference I can see is that this offer is for 18 months instead of 12.

i looked at one of these deals, but the value of the re-payments was triple to that of the products you get.

The line rentals are the same as the high street outlets, as far as I can see.

I'm always going to spend minimum £20 a month on a phone contract. Upping it to £30 to cover all my extra spending and getting a free xbox with it, it is a far better deal than I would get in a shop.

Sold the motorola phone they gave me for £50 too.

Richie - Can't recommend buymobilephones enough, pronto delivery of me xbox. You get the contract info with the phone, send them the proof of address and ID they require along with your voucher and your free item gets sent on next day delivery. I did google it before I went and placed an order, just incase it was a scam. Sounded a bit too good to be true.

I think what steve is getting at is the overall price costing.

Take a E900. With Orange you can get it on "Canary" ( 12 months contract ) for £40/m with 8 months free so it works out at £160 over the year.
Take the same contract but with the X-box its 12 months @ £40 so works out at £480 over the 12 months.
So there's a difference there of £320.

How much is an X box ?

So how long did it take to get the phone from when you ordered it? The deal I was looking at was the £35 with 500 minutes free and 500 text, which is the same as what Orange are offering us. So it sounds pretty fair to me.

Hmm...not as quick as I would have liked or expected. About 9 days for myself. Having said that, I am not known for my patience. I don't think it usually takes that long though, on other websites it usually arrives within 3 working days.

They are always sent on special delivery but its the necessary checks they do like any phone company does that takes the most time.

Option I chose: Canary/Racoon 30 contract £30 a month. Free xbox 360 worth £200 that I wanted anyway. So £360 for the year. Sold the Motorola L6 so final cost for year £310

The other option I would have took: Any contract on £25 a month with the flashiest phone I could get. And that's it. Cost for the year £300.

So xbox for £10. Crap phone I can live with.

There are cashback deals but I would never have got one. I would have forgotton to apply for the cashback (which they bank on people doing). Plus on the highstreet, well, they don't really do such good cashback deals. Online is much better.
