I took my exhaust off to cut the blank tube off and crimp it. Anyway, I crimped it but it got a bit f**cked. It flattened the tube in the middle, with holes at both sides, so I hammered it over to one side.

Anyway, I need it to on Monday, so how much will it affect the performance of it with a hole that size? (2 stroke btw)
It should be rideable right and not cause any permanent damage?

Any recommendations on what I should do?
Tried all the garages but they either aren't open on a Sunday or don't weld.

It will be rideable but i'm not sure i'd risk it. You can get epoxy impregnated exhaust repair bandages for £2 that wrap around the exhaust then cure with the heat. I think one of them would do the job in this case.

As above "it is NOT rideable" without damaging the engine! Exhaust repair paste and wrap will not last long either. Best get it welded while it is off the bike, it will work out cheaper. Take it to any exhaust place and they will be able to do it for you....even Kwik fit would be able to its a simple job when its not on the bike.

Kwik fit don't do welding. They only have the gas bottles for freeing stuck bolts.

Feck me they used to. Mind I suppose they rather sell a full system than repair a small hole.

Exhaust bandages will just get a hole shot through them that far up the exhaust, I remember when i had a stress crack and bandaged it, within 1 mile it was as if it didnt have one. Bandages are only useful really for car mufflers.

Worked fine on my dt125 expansion pipe.To be fair i don't do much mileage on it but a month later and it's still leak free.

It's either a temporary bodge or a bus ride on Monday.

As said it really does need welding properly before riding but given that tomorrow is sunday and a welder will be hard to come by if you can get to halfords then they also sell 'exhaust wrap' for cars which consists of a very thin but strong piece of metal and two beefy jubilee clips. It's about 8.00.Just wrap it round the hole until you have used it all and stick a jubilee at each end.

Not the best of things but it will make the best of a bad job until you can get it welded Thumbs Up

look in the yellow pages for machine hops or welders and youll find someone to sort it for you. Its not much of a job.

Or take it as an opertunity to learn a new skill, buy a welder?

No luck with anyone Sad
Had to bodge it for now with some Halfords exhaust bandages for now.
Anyway its a lot louder than it was before, is this because it may not be on the engine right or because theres a piece missinbg with only a bandage covering it?

A double layer of coke can steel and exhaust putty in between held on with two tightly fastened hose/jubilee clips would do as a patch (Done many a time on cars and bikes) and may last a few weeks (Last car bodge lasted 6 months Smile ) but it'll probably be good for a week or so, enough time to get it booked in for welding or another exhaust (for preference).

Cheers Kresby for advice got it done now though.
Yeah done the carb (f*ckin scary pulling your first bikes insides out) and taken the washer out, haven't done rollers though, but I don't think I need to really.
