Footage of crazy Apache rescue

The story was in the news last week, but the MoD has released the gun camera footage from one of the Apaches, showing a Royal Marine strapped to the other helo. Quite impressive stuff, shame the guy they were rescuing had died of his wounds by the time we got there.

Were they hero's or just stupid.
The poor Marine was killed and they risked the lives of more Marines and millions of £ worth of equipment.

I guess it was heroic in a fashion but FFS, no way would I.......no way.

At the time, the L/CPL was missing, rather than confirmed KIA. They went back to retrieve a comrade they believed could still be alive - worthy stuff, and essential to morale.
