Presuming you don't obey the law religiously, then you are presumably saying that you believe you breaking the law to the limits you set is ok, but not to any limts he may have.

I have seen plenty of 30 limits where in the right conditions it would be safe (in my opinion) to do well over 70, while other cases where it wouldn't be safe to do 30 on an unlimited road.

Nah in my opinion you're spot on.

Save the quick riding for national speed limits. There is no need to go over 30 near schools and built up areas.

I occasionally break the limit in 30 zones, but only an occasional 35-40mph. Never would I just open up as hard as I can.

They are all a bunch of juvenile chavs who need to wait until their bodies can cope with testosterone before they are allowed on the road. Its those guys who give us all a bad name and mean that GPS based speed control is a likelihood.

We all tend to go a bit faster than the sped limit if we are honest with ourselves, and yes the bikes are more manouverable than cars etc.
However you seem to be missing the point mate. Wheelies are fine in closed roads, carparks, and empty dual carriageways, but infront of a petrol station in a built up area, is just fucking stupid.
