Hi there all, need some advice to bodge my Air Filter Pod ...

Yes, it's an Air Pod on a 2-Stroke *prepares for stoning * and before anyone says anything it's caused me no issues, makes the bike sound nicer and has a little gain in power i think.

But i issue is that obviously someone has taken a likening to it more than most and has tried to pull it off ... Thus causing The rubber to split almost exactly in the middle about 1/3 the way round ... and a dent and slight split in the foam, not too fussed about the foam as it is only small and hasn't split the second layer ... But how can a get the rubber to stay one without the split splitting again and maybe falling off mid ride ...

I think there might just be enough to clamp it down, but would be nice to have it sealed nicely ...

Hmm ... Think that might work, just don't have any ...

erm what about a silicone based instant gasket as it forms into a rubbery substance?

Degrease it with thinners and superglue it. I've fixed inlet rubbers in this method and as long as you make a good job of cleaning it first it won't split again.
