New job = new bike

Still at the same place but now a field technician rather than in the workshop. Also means I got my van, it's Vauxhall Movano 2.5 thingy. Very scary driving it at the moment as I haven't really used a car since my test, keep hitting kerbs as im too use to riding my bike still.

Anyway my monster hit 47,000 miles the other week and I've been dying to replace it with a newer fuel injected monster. So a few weeks back I went looking around dealers to sit on some etc. Always loved the S2r/s4r range, s2r 1000 being my main choice. Didn't want the s2r800 as it has sliding calipers for fuck sake. The s4r looks ugly with the all raditors and piping work everywhere.

Yesterday I picked this up in my van (useful already).

Its a shame that some of the parts just look alwful like the tail tidy and light clusters as its a real 'engineers' looking bike with the frame design.

Not a hige fan of the naked style of bike, but much better stylistically than a Bandit, and I bet it goes llike stink?

The new frame seems to have bigger tubing, but I think they used smaller walls (not sure though). The tail end is nasty but I need it for panniers support bars from givi as im touring europe again. My older monster I chopped it off as you can see in the picture.

At the moment I'm not insured on it. Still using my older monster and the van. I use my bike to get to college in south london as they charge a premium to park, I hate traffic and still much prefer riding but I need the van for my job.
I did have a quick spin around my close but i can't go any hirer than 5k for 800 miles or so, not that I can get above 5k in my close anyway!

I agree Klause, As i said its not to MY tastes, and i really have to look long and hard to find redeeming features (aesthetically), but it is a "proper" bike and as such deserves some respect...
