anyway even at low low speed I can lean the bloody NTV far over , such that riders behind swore my side boxes touched the road , and this was sub 30MPH stuff in Plymouth where 100s of cameras force you to go slow everywhere.

Plymouth, I read, has 40 speed cameras. Exeter which is what, TWICE the size of plymouth??, has just 6 or something. Its a joke. Anyways I get my kicks from speed humps.. My DT isnt made for leaning Very Happy

I'm just amazed at the spectacular lack of style with which it was dug up.

What a complete load of bollocks. Did you get his number ? Write to the station and ask for a copy of the laws you were breaking.

Its a load of tosh. Sounds like you handled it OK. Better than I would have done.

Cop pulled me a couple of years ago for not having a brake light, I told him it had no indicators or speedo either and it did not need them so go away. He did.

Probably took him 6 months to think up the frankly rubbish attempt at a witty reply.

I'd love to have seen him follow an old Z650 round the same corner. They only have two angles of lean. Upright, and pipes down. They flop between the two.

Now you know why I like my 750. Wink

Don't worry it's an entertaining thread for those who haven't read it before, like myself.

I once got asked by a copper if my trailer had been calibrated to my van before towing it. Soppy bastard Very Happy

This is an entertaining thread and I'm glad it was resurected. I was actually looking for the 'black box speed adapter' thread, but this thread has a connection with it so I kept reading.

This is one mishap too many.

I mean forget ethnic minorities, bikers are the real minority which the police are bearing down unfairly upon.

Think I'm gonna get a T-Shirt made with ALI G on it saying:

"Is it coz I iz a Biker?!!"

Its the sliding the back wheel bit that's the problem, they say its means that you are not in proper control and that spells " with out due care and attention " Minimum !.....Thats what I was told when they caught up with me when I had me ZZR 1100 Rolling Eyes

Also told that the bike had two wheels for a reason !........Yes I did ask Mr. Green

At that point you should have let him know that the rear tyre is ALWAYS sliding, it's called tyre creep and it aids you going round corners. It's not intentional but it happens nonetheless.

What you want is the copper who found me doing laps of a roundabout with a mate, scuffing his sliders in for him. I'd just picked it up and and pulled over and he did a lap and stopped. At first I though he was saying slow down with a hand gesture but he was actually saying 'lean further if you want knee down'.

We made up some story about my mates bike handling oddly and how we were trying to find the fault and then scarpered as soon as he went.

Nice copper.

Cheers

Grim
