So what did ya'll get up to?

I had a bit of a productive morning on saturday getting the house tidy and ready for the arrival of a guest who is stopping for 2 weeks (more on this shortly). Then in the evening I had yet another visitor after the previosu 2 visitors had left in the morning, did the whole dvd thing, 11:14, very good movie, beer fest is also 'ok' but not as good as it was made out to be to me.

Sunday I finished off my ironing (joy) and awaited the new guest who arrived around 5pm. This is where I learnt that mingles knows how to spit and growl, turns out mingles doesn't like having a dog in his territory at all. So I spent most of last night trying to introduce them to each other, it ended up with the dog retreating to a safe distance and watching whilst mingles growled and spat anytime doggy came near. They have 2 weeks to get used to each other though

So, I know that at least Andrea and JP have an interesting story to tell!

We had a French Saturday.

We celebrated my birthday on Saturday because my real birthday is all filled up with work and a night out in a pub for somebody else.

I woke up to breakfast in bed, with croissants and homemade marmalade (very messy).

We then lazed about for the rest of the morning, and had a picnic in the lounge for lunch. It would have been a picnic outside, but the weather wasn't really suitable. So, french stick, pork pie, french cheese, some delicious wine, and then a homemade apple pie with creme for pudding! yum

In the afternoon I opened my presents from Ann and played with them for a bit (a guitar stand, a new bag for my camera, and some cooking scales) and then we got ready for dinner out, at none other than the local french restaurant!

Dinner was absolutely delicious. I had a roasted cheese with vegetables to dip in it for starter, followed by muscles. Ann had a mushroom brioche thing for starter, followed by a poached chicken something. All the food was delicious, so we'll definitely be going back again.

Sunday was less entertaining. We washed our cars in the morning, then went to buy a new stereo for the kitchen and failed (wasn't in stock), and in the afternoon I had a meeting with somebody about some work I'm going to be doing for them.
Watched Miami Vice in the evening though, which was cool.

Now it's monday, and I'm waiting for the next Killa vs. XXX fight to entertain me.

One of the most uneventful weekends of the 21st Century.

Saturday: - Woke up at 12, watched Liverpool beat Chelsea 2-0 . Had lunch, sat down, had tea went to the cinema to watch "employee of the month". Went bed.

Sunday: - Woke up at 11, put the white washing in, went to the gym, had a shower, had lunch, watch "on the buses", watched Arsenal Play Man U, had tea, sat down staring at a wall. Went to bed.

Saturday a group of us went paint balling. It was really good fun! The first time I had been but by the end of the day I was getting very accurate with my long distance shots.

Our group was put up against a group of chavs. One of them was really mouthy thinking he was a real life commando or something. This piece of shit and his little chav followers couldn't take it when our team whooped their asses at capture the flag twice in a row. He tried to start a fight with one of us (a big Russian guy in our group). What a twat. The marshall had to split our groups up and mix them up so that a fight would not errupt.

Apart from that spot of trouble the day went fine and we all were shattered by the end of it. The wet mud made it a little better as well because it allowed you to run and slide into cover quickly. Also when you fell over it didn't hurt so bad.

Sunday - I did fuck all.

Saturday - busy day at work. I didn't have chance to eat my dinner until 3:45! I just hope the dude who took an hour of my time comes back and buys the Rocket. Saturday evening did bugger all really, watched some TV/DVD, including the start of Full Metal Jacket, just for the Drill Instructor ('Your days of finger-banging old Mary-Jane-Rotten-Crotch through her purty pink pantier are OVER' - class!)

Sunday - Woke up eventually, watched some more DVD, arsed around on the PC, had a nice hot Chilli for tea then finished up with the first episode of 24 series 5.

Up at 12 on Saturday after an absolutely horrendous night at work (I took just over £2500 on my till in 6 hours ) went to the pub to watch Liverpool soundly thrash Chelsea, came home for a pizza and some time on Pro Evo 6, back out to the pub at 8, back home at 2 for a game of poker.

Up at 1 on Sunday, off to the pub to watch Man U vs. Arsenal - that was a horrible loss - back home, sorted out my timetable for today, made spaghetti bolognese, played some more Pro Evo, watched Lock, Stock and went to bed at midnight.

Quite a nice weekend in retrospect.

Well, I didn't get up to very much in the end:

Friday night: Out to the pub, but I was driving. Didn't get home until 3am mind you!

Saturday: Dossed around at home. Drove into London to pick up some medic uniform. Headed to a more local pub Saturday evening. Home by 12:30.

Sunday: Had my second test drive of the Citroen C2. This time the 1.4 and I really like it. It's a fun little car to drive. Popped out in the early evening to see a mate in London. Was home by 9pm.

A nice weekend really, nto too hectic and got to see a few mates and all that.

Well just last week the washing machine started pouring out black smoke, so since it was pay day on Saturday I was half-nelsoned down to a local appliance store, and paid out £280 for a new one

Sunday, planned to take my son out and go on a ride... Well it turns into a family event with my OH in tow driving her car
Rode from Cardiff to Bridgend(to find that JT's is closed on a Sunday), then on to Swansea. Got a pair of textile trousers and a pair of boots for my son (an early birthday present). Plus a "Biker Bitch" t-shirt for my stepdaughter, and a pair of "Cold Killer" inner gloves for the OH.
Then rode up the heads of the valley road to the sister-in-laws in Tredegar, and eventually down thru Blackwood, Caerphilly and home.... 148 miles, and freezing cold by the end of it, but I had a biiig grin on my face

Collected my son from his 10 day holiday, I've never had such a warm welcome from anyone in my life. Celebrated his birthday yesterday (he is 3 today).

Been planning all week how to customise the Lifan and get it sorted out. Pretty excited about it as it will look so much better when its finished. Going to put a twin engine in from another lifan and nearer to spring get a new sprag job on tank and air brush job. Something to look forward to.

Saturday: Mountain biking, testing out new bike, gears need a bit of setting up.

Sunday: More mountain biking, messed with gears, made it a whole lot worse then bodged it back into a semi working order.

Friday evening went to a Burns Night supper. Five course meal including decent 12 year old malt. Got exercise too, as being a nice night walked home

Saturday, spent sorting out father's garden and visiting mother in hospital.

Sunday, watched junior rugby (lad was playing in a cup match). Had lazy afternoon then popped out for very nice Chinese buffet.

A good weekend, even if a bit heavy on the food and drink

Saturday: Moped Racing. We watched, got cold, cheered on the BCF Teams then went home.

Sunday, I got up, had some lunch, did a bit of work to the KE100, got it running.

Went out to get Sarah a new mobile phone (cos hers broke), but it wasn't in stock, so I borrowed one of my sisters old handsets.

Then I went to Kung fu, came home, ate food and watched Star Trek.

Today I got my refurbished MR2 wheel fitted, found that my track rod ends have rusted solid, got a quote for the repair of my garage roof, ate food, added the KE100 to my insurance, replaced the engine cover support strut with a gas strut on the '2, took an old TV and some oil to the tip, Found the remote for our 'new' tv, Phoned up motorcycle parts centre about the KE100 bearing, filled the KE100 with petrol. Now I'm watching star trek, then I'm going to have dinner, and go to the gym.

Another day off tomorrow! In which hopefully I can get the KE100 fully repaired.

Back to work Wednesday.

Well my weekend consisted of .....

Sat ....

Woke up an hour late and obviously missed an hour of the seminar i went to. Was at a really posh hotel, so we had a room booked for the night. Had a really nice meal & drinks, then went back to the hotel room (this is where it gets interesting)......

While messing about in the room, myself and Andrea decided to order some breafast and leave it on the door handle outside the room as you do. Well Andrea decided she was that hungry, she wanted to order a pig (yes a whole pig). To cut a long story short, we both ended up in the corridor and the door slammed shut behind us. Not a problem, just run down to reception and grab a key card i hear you say.....

Well the only problem was I was stark bollock naked in the corridor and each room needed a card key to get into. Andrea ran down to reception to get a card key to be met with the words 'you need to get in your room dont you'. The person at reception proceeded to inform her that there were cameras in the corridors

When Andrea came upstairs, she found me in the only possible hiding place there was. Behind a pretty much see through curtain inbetween the curtain and a floor to celing window.

Sunday .....

Well the hotel missed about £50 worth of food and drinks off the bill which was pretty nice of them. Then we headed up to the Horseshoe Pass. While we were up there it snowed for all of a minuite. Lovely scenery even in the winter.
