Music downloads......This is cool

I dont know if anyone has listened to the Chris Moyles show recently but they started a bet with each other to get an old song back in the charts by downloads only just to see if they could do it.

This is due to the new law of legal downloads in the UK from a reputable company(like itunes or something) can add toward the chart and their positions. I dont know the full details of that but;

Back to the Chris Moyles show;

He set the bet down with Dave that he could get Billie Pipers song - Honey to the Bee in the top 200 single charts by legal downloads. Of course his counterparts did not think he could get it into the top 300 let alone the top 200. So the bet was on.

They started the advertisement and drive for this bet every day(since last Monday I think). He then got the official stats for the charts in and it turns out it hit in at number 17.

Now the record companies will have to produce the Billie Piper single as it is there.

So he won the bet of £10 and the test continues!

Nada, it's great, i used to hate listening to the radio, but chris moyles on the way to work is great but i'm afraid it's scott mills for the win on the way home!

Don't know about Billie, but if I was just crawling my way back to fame on TV after my music career died, I'd be pretty humiliated to have my song considered so bad it's considered a great feat to get it into the top 200 as part of a bet. Laughing
