But this takes the piss!

My cycle home brings me across a canal and today I notice that something isn't quite right. Took the pics below, how the hell did someone get that there, there isn't even a road next to the canal! Shocked

The tyre tied to the edge of it is a bit of a giveaway. Looks like you could easily fit a car inside it, whatever it is.

The tyre and the hoops along the side of it suggest that it's a section of something that supposed to be in the water. Perhaps just not right there.

It might actually be floating?
Like a floating pontoon? It's got connectors at the end to connect it to other ones?
It might of moved in the recent winds? or become disconnected from a few being towed by British waterways.

When I was there some bloke was standing staring at it as well, got there this morning and it's moved down stream and to the side. Thumbs Up
