my little nsr would splutter at 8000rpm.....i mate said it would be some crap in the carb.so i took the carb off and noticed a very clean brass nipple under a very crappy float chamber casing......but i can't see a pipe/fitting that should connect to this nipple.....the same mate cleaned the jets for me and said the nipple would be a breather pipe.........so i put the carb back , and yes petrol started to drip/pour from the carb ( can't see where from because of the plastics)........any ideas would be helpful.also i've been told i need a cdi unit ( nsr 125 rr) to deristrict it..can anyone tell me where this unit is, and is it just a case of changing this unit over, changing the intake and outake...someone else has mentioned that the electrics and mags need to be the same, for the cdi unit to work?

i have got a problem with mine 2 mate. the exact thing has happened to me. i was hit up the back on mine and when the insurance wrote the bike off i decided to use it as a project and rebuild it and replace all of the broken bits. meanwhile my mate decided it would be a great idea to rebuild the carb for me. he did this and cleaned all the jets out and put it back together. now that the bike is all fitted up its deciding not to start. i lookd at the bottom of the carb and right next to the little nipple there is a screw and unless it is turned all the way up tight petrol leaks out of the bottom. i havent got a pipe on mine either and to be honest cant remember if it did, but im sure it did. ive also got a couple of pipes left over and also a couple of nipples free. do you know where the long pipe that is on top of the washer bottle should end up and also on the left hand side of the engine there is two nipples there ive got something on one but not on the other? ive also got one nipple on the back of the engine near the carb. my dad has just popped in and said he thinks its just a bleed screw mate. and it shouldnt be a problem but hes not 100% certain. any chance you could look on your bike and help me with the other nipples and pipes and il do my best for you mate and speak to the guy at hondas in the morning to find out for sure on the nipple on the bottom of the carb and il let u know!
