For the first time in 10 years of riding - woke up to see the bike covered in snow & 2 inches of the white stuff on the ground! Looks like another day of working from home for me! Shocked

Nothing wrong in riding in the snow... its the ice you have to worry about when its halfway melted

Did it last year and it was just like riding in the wet, the main problem was my visor kept getting clogged up with snow... imagine rain on your visor, then think big peices of melting snow dripping down your visor. Bloody annoying.

The difference a couple of hours makes Laughing

https://www.bikechatforums.com/files/gorilla_st110_010.jpg

Was a little shocked when the missus said this morning that it had been snowing, although it ws brass monkey weather last night. The bike has been riding since the harsh winds, then the heavy rain. I thought today is the day for a quick (well you know what I mean) blast to keep things charged, but there was no way I'm riding in this I thought.

Lunchtime comes and its all gone Rolling Eyes

Oh well, we never did have consistent weather here in the UK Rolling Eyes

I rode home 45 miles last night at 10 pm while the snow was falling thick and fast. The roads where icy and very slippery. I crawled at about 40 mph for most of the way, with a few rear end wobbles, which werent too alarming. What concerned me most was how ineffective my brakes were on the slippery roads, while cars were storming past me or pulling out in front of me at well over the speed limit.

If anything - this snow is the 'icing on the cake'.... Sad

give it a couple of months. the sun will be out, roads will be dry, leaves appearing on the trees, clear skies etc etc. you will crave a bike.

plus bikes are going fairly cheap lately, stumbled across no end of bargains Laughing

Woke up this morning with mum telling me it had snowed. So there was me laying in bed thinking oo day off. No such luck im afraid. looked out the window and it had just about snowed looked more like a harsh frost.

Was fine on the way over to college although i was taking it easy. Well it was okay untill i got into the college car park where some genius decided not to bother salting the motorbike parking spaces. Trying to park was a nightmare, put the breaks on and just slid all over the place... was pretty fun though! Laughing

Its this kind of thing which makes me want to get my KE100 working even more. Its so light that even I will be able to pick it up if I have a mishap. Plus its so slow that I'm hardly going to be moving at a rate of knots.

Plus those bridgestone trailwings are just aching for some snow, I can tell.
