was about to put down a deposit for an 05 cbr600 rr with 3700 miles, it would have cost £4900, but then i saw this!!
Its up for £4795 its only done 1800 miles its an 05, FSH, akrapovic exhaust, double bubble, goodrige hoses, mushrooms and datatool alarm. Should i go for the kwak. Having had a go on most of the sports 600 i have no fave at the moment???????? I know it looks betta in green!

Ninja for the win!

Its cheaper, has less miles, and by the sounds of it a load of usefull upgrades...

No to mention it is far sexier (Black or Green would be better, but thats just splitting hairs), and one would imagine would have more grunt for road riding...

I haven't read the C model ZX, but the general impression I've got is that the CBR will cosset you while going damn fast, while the ZX6 will be trying to bite 'ya leg off.

Personally I prefer the rougher ride - not because it has the ability to go that bit faster, but because it /feels/ more like you're going fast.
However, in the grand scheme of things, they are pretty similar bikes.

From a complete noob perspective I'd say get the Kwak. I walked past one today in Town and I had to stop and have a 2nd look. Personally I think it looks fantastic and with the spec and price the ZX is the wiser choice imo!

It definitely feels like your going faster than the RR but lets face it no 600 class bike feels like it's 'trying ta bite 'ya leg off.'

Perfectly tame bike that can nip you in the botty if provoked.

I guess I'm the only one that prefers the Honda. Laughing

The price reflects the brand in my opinion, I mean you can get a 98 Kwak for under £1500 easily, but the CBRs still fetch £2000-£2200 without breaking a sweat.

Yep, typical Honda - pay extra for a less fun bike Smile.

Exactly, and one that lasts longer, holds it's value better, has better build quality, and won't kill you at any available opportunity. Razz

Not sure if they do really hold their value better - unless you pay rrp for the kwak, the Honda will probably cost a fair bit more in the first place.

Killing you at every opporortunity only really applies to the zx10 I think - and that sounds like fun to me Smile.

Yep, I do to.

I've seen new cbrs rotting away, i've seen mint old gsxrs. I've seen old pristine cbrs and rotten new gsxrs - It's down to the owner, not the make.

And IMO the only reason Honda have the reputation for better build quality is because the typical Honda rider only uses their bike in summer....

Just as a heads up, the new March 2007 edition of TWO magazine has a review / first ride on the new ZX6R, and the quote on the front of the mag just says "STUNNING!"

...not that I'm biased or anything Wink

yeah but if you buy an older bike, you lose less on depreciation, so you can afford high insurance

im not saying you should get a litre bike, but you could if you wanted to

i think older litre bikes tend to be in better condition than older 600s for the same price
