You could sit there all day comparing what has greased nipples and what has greased buttocks. But ultimately, like in everything, there is a tradeoff to everything you buy. Otherwise everybody would be riding the same bike!

Price, reliability, looks, performance, maintanance, etc.

It's just a choice to what suits YOU most. I.e. it's pointless getting a GS650 as a trackday toy, and its pointless buying a litre superbike to cross muddy tracks and deserts in comfort with little or no reliability problems.

Unless, of course, you take into consideration the '98 R1......

WOW stinkwheel, I did not know that! It is annoying the way that these bikes are build, dont get me wrong they do it pretty well. But its the 'How long will it last' factor that annoys me. As another example a common problem which I encountered recently was the exhaust snapped due to corrosion by the connector pipe due to that part being made out of mild steel and the rest out of stainless.

Also what is Uni-trak?

Its not that powerful. I have the Bandit 600 and i found it about the same, maybe a little more, but not much. Its a V-Twin engine So dont worry about that. But yeah i can see your point about getting on and off . But the seat being lowered would help.

I crushed my knee in an accident 3 months back. To this day it's still swollen and numb.

I plan to get another bike - but i didn't take the 'knee' into consideration.
