I only have a three mile trip into work and I do it in combat trousers. I do not like to have my tackle restricted and gripped by pants so I go commando. My bike lives outside the house and this weather there is ice on the tank and seat in the morning. Cracking start to the day, wakes me up a treat. Very Happy

Damn. That sounds like a "penis retreating into the intestines" moments. Neutral

buy a baglux tank cover, its a godsend on cold days.
find some old woman to knit some some wooly kegs.
put some waterproofs over your trow, itll take the wind chill off.
get one of those 12vlt car seat warmer things and put it over your seat.

Ive used all appart from the wooly kegs which are next on the list

Guy at work has a 125 nsr, the bit of the tank where the tank pad goes, (aswell as your chuds) has been cut away, so I bet he slots them in so they are nice and toasty.

Bah, ya big girl. Full length trousers, at this time of year? Smile

I still ride to work every day in 3/4length shorts. Plus they're only the rubbishy thin lightweight soldier95 trousers (or were until I cut the legs off), so my boxers underneath probably provide better insulation against the elements.

That said, I did spend about a week over christmas commuting in full length combats, which I am of course a little bit ashamed of Razz My commute is also short(4miles), otherwise I'd go in for the full deal (2 pairs of trousers plus thermal undertrousers as well) - Nothing I hate worse than PCPS - "Painfully Cold Penis Syndrome".
